Ako naučiť na WC
Králiky sú už od prírody veľmi čistotné a inteligentné tvory, ktoré sa podobne ako mačka dokážu veľmi jednoducho a rýchlo naučiť na toaletu. Prvým kľúčovým bodom je zaobstaranie rohového, alebo mačacieho záchodu. Rohový záchod je spratnejší, zaberá menšiu plochu, no zároveň vďaka menšiemu rozmeru v porovnaní s mačaciou toaletou sa skôr zaplní bobkami. Mačací záchod je väčší, zaberá väčšiu plochu, a je skôr vhodnejší pokiaľ chováte králika navoľno. Keď si teda záchod zaobstaráte nasleduje bod č. 2: Pre začiatok by som vám ale odporúčala záchod odložiť, vzhľadom k tomu, že je králik ešte malý a v novom prostredí si zvyká, čo znamená, že zvykne močiť a bobkovať všade kde sa mu zachce. Prv než sa naučí dôležité návyky a nenájde si správny kút, záchod by bol zbytočný. Preto treba dať pre začiatok po celej ploche klietky nejakú podstielku. Pre začiatok môžu byť aj hobliny, pretože tie po čase aj tak zameníme, no lepšie by bol nejaký druh kočkolitu, napr. osvedčený Zverlit. Keďže si králik pomaly v novom prostredí zvyká, na vykonávanie potreby si zvolí nejaký roh. Keďže má všade iba jeden tip steliva, čiže Zverlit, alebo resp. tie hobliny - naučí sa, že akákoľvek potreba sa robí vyhradene iba na Zverlit, alebo prípadne iný typ podstielky, ktorú používate. To znamená, že po určitej dobe, keď bude už nejaký ten čas chodiť králik do nejakého rohu, nasadila by som zakúpený záchod. Záchod by som umiestnila práve do rohu, do ktorého králik chodí. Ako stelivo do záchodu by som dala podstielku, ktorú ste mali pred tým po celej ploche klietky. To znamená, že podstielku by ste z celej plochy odstránili a nechali ju len v záchodíku. Ak ste po celú tú dobu používali hobliny, a králik tento princíp pochopil, odporúčam zmeniť podstielku v záchode za Zverlit. Má mimoriadne hygienické vlastnosti, je ekologicky čistý, maximálne nasiakavý, absorbujúci pach, hrudkujúci - úsporný, nealergický, narozdiel od hoblín, ktoré prášia, čím vzikajú komplikácie dýchacích ciest, slzenie očí, kýchanie... Po celej plochy klietky odporúčam koberček.
